Start from the garment, not the technique. A design going on a cap front needs a cap file, even if the same artwork already exists as a logo file for shirts — the curve and the center seam change how the file must be built. A big back piece belongs under jacket back digitizing, where coverage and weight matter more than tiny detail.

If your artwork itself is the problem — blurry, low resolution, or a photo of a print — start with vector art conversion. Clean line art digitizes better and prints better, and one redraw can serve both. If you already have a stitch file that misbehaves, file conversion and editing covers format changes, resizing and repairs.

For garments that are designed, not decorated — dresses, kurtis, bridal and occasion wear — go straight to the fashion wing. And if your project mixes techniques, say a 3D puff logo with appliqué panels, custom digitizing is the right door. Still unsure?
